What types of plastic toys do we mainly manufactured:
What’s the minimum number of the order:
Plastic Toy Factory custom molded toys for clients worldwide. Our minimum order is just 3,000 pieces.
What is our materia?
The majority of plastic toys produced are made from just a few plastic materials including high- and low-density polyethylene (LDPE, HDPE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinylchloride (PVC), polystyrene (PS, ABS), polycarbonate (PC), and polyester (PET).
Normally we choose materials according to clients’ requirements and budget.
Model Making and Prototyping
We create a sample prototype based on the information and imagery you provide. We can also utilize your CAD and 3D files to print and modify designs. The cost of the sample will vary depending on the complexity and materials required for production.
We will produce a plastic sculpt of your design based on your imagery, or you can provide a mold-ready sculpt for us to reproduce for manufacturing. The initial sample sculpt or 3D print typically takes 10-15 business days. We will make revisions until you are satisfied with and approve the design, all at no additional charge and without obligation to order. Once the sculpt appears satisfactory in photos, a pre-production sample will be produced for your final design approval before full manufacturing. If you decide not to proceed with production, the sample is yours to keep.
Manufacturing
The production of most plastics necessitates the creation of intricate molds, which are used to cast the material under high temperatures and pressures. This mold-making process typically takes around 25-30 days. The actual manufacturing of plastic following mold creation usually spans 30-45 days, although this timeframe can vary depending on the quantities and complexity of each design. Once production is complete, ocean delivery times are estimated at 30-40 days, while air freight times can range from 2-10 days, depending on the chosen carrier. Rush orders, which can reduce overall production times by approximately 40%, are generally available for an additional fee. These rush orders may also require a production-ready design. Reorders of toys that have been previously manufactured do not require the creation of new production molds, resulting in production times typically limited to the standard 30-45 days.
Toy Manufacturing Costs
The pricing of each manufactured toy is determined by its specific design, size, and quantity. A significant portion of the cost for plastic toys stems from the molds used for production. These molds are often intricate, requiring multiple components to ensure high-quality reproductions. We aim to minimize these costs without compromising quality.
Our quotes provide estimated mold and manufacturing costs. Firm prices for both will be provided once you approve your prototype and are ready for production. These prices are valid for a set period, typically 30 days. If you include your postal code and country in your quote request, we will also estimate shipping costs. Calculating exact shipping weights and volumes before production is challenging, but we can often provide a general estimate of the final delivered cost of the toys. When your order is ready for shipment, we will provide a firm quote based on the actual measured weight and cubic volume of the shipment. We collaborate with various carriers to secure the most competitive rates for both air and ocean freight. Shipping costs, particularly for ocean freight, can fluctuate throughout the year due to holiday demand and global economic conditions. Consequently, shipping quotes may only be guaranteed for 15-30 days.
